Spotted on the #sailing subreddit: someone named their windvane (mechanical autopilot) "Ziggy". Such a great name for it.

Uh, does YouTube not have a Block feature? That's pretty pathetic, if so. Ah. You can only block them based on interactions - live chat entries & comment mentions. PATHETIC.

I'd post more, rather than replying so much, if i felt i had anything useful to say. But I'm tired. Literally. Should be working, but the past 1-2 hours of writing project specs wiped me out. Currently lying down.

Is there a `docker obliterate` command, that completely removes every possible stray image/container/network that could be interfering with things? I'd like a total clean slate ... oy.

Current status: supremely annoyed at WordPress's half-baked concept of "child themes"; or else maybe the "twentytwentytwo" theme is particularly unhappy to be living in 2026.

@logan Hmm, no. It might have been River (no, not River Cartwright). But I feel it was more of a sean-bean-crossed-with-patrick-dempsey type.

It's spelled "interuterine device", right? (This dumb joke brought to you by my attempt to design a logo this evening, at the same time two of my domains quietly expired - breaking the DNS. I had internet on my mind, and the logo project happened to have the letter "t" in it, and some of the font choices were ... extremely familiar to logo criticisms of the recent past.)

Hmm, Tideways is having some issues today. Hopefully it isn't too difficult for them to get untangled. (This is a platform for examining the performance of php applications, not related to sailing/boating, btw)

Found & fixed an elusive bug in Sculpin this weekend (https://sculpin.io - a classic PHP-based static site generator). The bug had to do with the order in which files were read off of the filesystem - it was causing some pages to be missing data on a certain website. This took over a dozen hours to investigate and ponder and breakpoint-debug. But, despite that, it was a good exercise in thinking things through and better understanding the `Sculpin::run()` lifecycle. #php

I'm so accustomed to/traumatized by my favourite shows getting cancelled after the first season that I sometimes forget to/fear to watch the second season of the ones that do get renewed. Severance. Night Agent. One Piece. I've got quite a backlog.
