  I have opinions on landlords, which will not come as a surprise to you. But I will say that at my current place there's an arrangement in place with a maintenance company that is reasonably quick and professional about - well, maintenance. It's actually and genuinely not so bad.

  Seeing the spoilers for the upcoming MtG Marvel crossover set has been... certainly something. There seem to be at least four different characters dedicated to extolling the virtues of the United States? I knew about Captain America and Iron Man, but there's also "USAgent" and "Patriot" now? How many of these goddamn things does the franchise need?

  So tailoring ads to a broad audience obviously does work. You run ads for gamepads on videogame websites. You run ads for expensive wine in Yacht Owners Monthly. But the massive surveillance-/ad-tech scheme, which collects ten thousand data points about every device and tries to match them to the perfect product, that basically doesn't do anything. It shows you ads for toilet seats because you've bought a toilet seat. It shows me ads for learning German because my device language is set...

  I got to pop in at the Night of the Museums for a few hours. Honestly super cool, bunch of places open late at night and you can go look at lots of cool stuff. Also there's something to be said to see a line for a museum wrap around the whole block twice
