  I got confused about whether I’d planned to make savoury rice or vermicelli rice for dinner, and ended up making savoury vermicelli rice. It turned out fine! The usual recipes are: - Savoury rice: half jasmine, half basmati, add veg stock, parsley, dill, and a pinch of turmeric for colour, cook in rice cooker. - Vermicelli rice: all basmati, add a handful of short vermicelli that’s been pre-fried in olive oil, cook in rice cooker.   I am *extremely* ready for daylight savings time (which in the UK starts tomorrow). TBH I was ready for it a week ago. (Before any smartarse asks “Why do you care about clock time?”, the answer is that I have to interact with the world around me, and I would like there to be more than two hours between starting to eat dinner and going to bed.)
