Over the last few months I’ve walked a lot in Vivo Barefoot boots on countryside paths over cliffs, hills, and beaches, through woods, and on city streets, in torrential rain and hot sun, in the wet and the dry. This isn’t a sponsored post, just my take: They take some time to adjust to, but they are great, and worth it. Long, rather nerdy barefoot shoes thread continues in replies … (1/9)

Before the Iran war, diesel in the Philippines was around ₱53 / $0.90 / £0.65 a litre (0.264 US gallons). Today it’s ₱144 / $2.49 / £1.79. That’s a 172% increase. I spoke to a Grab driver who paid so much for gas yesterday that he made just ₱900 / $16.62 / £12.47 working > 12 hours. That’s the world that corrupt and stupid politicians and greedy oligarchs made.

So happy for the people of Hungary this morning with their new chance for better politics. And I’m glad leaders like Pope Leo exist. If you judge a person by the quality of their enemies, he is a decent human being.

When you want to watch the sunset together without spending money and your city has very few inclusive public spaces, or any overlooking / viewpoints that aren’t commercialised, one of the busiest bridges will do. #resilience and #happiness despite late stage capitalism.

Manila is pretty hostile to pedestrians, but still even when the pavement is busted and dusted (or more often, doesn't exist at all) we walk! #manila #mandaluyong #pedestrians #pavement #sidewalks

Love this beauty from necessity: Shuetsu Sato's hand-cut tape letters have guided Shinjuku Station commuters for 20 years. Now they're on Nike's storefront: https://www.instagram.com/p/DYmK27hkeve/
