Before the Iran war, diesel in the Philippines was around ₱53 / $0.90 / £0.65 a litre (0.264 US gallons). Today it’s ₱144 / $2.49 / £1.79. That’s a 172% increase. I spoke to a Grab driver who paid so much for gas yesterday that he made just ₱900 / $16.62 / £12.47 working > 12 hours. That’s the world that corrupt and stupid politicians and greedy oligarchs made.
