RE: https://cosocial.ca/@emd/117003166201654599 Not really my community (although it almost was), but the Laravel leadership always gave me car-dealership-owner vibes, so an embrace of DHH is not surprising.

It’s not every day that you see a Black woman with a swastika tattoo, but Los Angeles is a rich tapestry.

Trimmed my beard, got a haircut, didn’t magically fix my life. Oh well, at least now my face itches and my head is cold.

Here for opening night at the #HollywoodBowl, Broadway Night. We were so aggressively on time that we were the first people up to our level of seating.

Just noticed that blo.gs is no longer online, now it just redirects to wordpress.org. Another dead link in my résumé.

Trying to come up with side hustle that I could work 10-12/hours month to pay for medical bills and the occasional Dodgers tickets. I guess here's an Upwork profile for now. https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~01be060a532ece41c9

I came to this very late for someone who moved to #DTLA over 20 years ago in part due to Grand Central Market, but the tacos at Tacos Tumbras a Tomas are an incredible value. $5 for a taco that is a meal by itself. https://grandcentralmarket.com/vendor/tacos-tumbras-a-tomas/

Someone used my Linode referral code to sign up, which means I got a $25 credit, which would have been nice if I hadn't stopped using Linode two years ago.

Watching a staging deployment script run all of our #Django migrations and thinking it’s probably time to learn how to squash them.

Oh no, I’m being subjected to withering sarcasm, how will I get through my day.

RE: https://social.vivaldi.net/@lproven/116596168533713373 I think about this sort of thing all the time, particularly in wondering about how small of a Linux environment I could put together. I am sure most of that is just chasing old highs. But I have no space in my life for computer-related hobbies right now.

New morning routine: check how many white men have voted to keep a link to a dead account on a transphobic white supremacist’s website on the homepage for PHP.

We just opened the job listing for another mid/sr. full-stack engineer at the startup where I'm the director of engineering. It's a hybrid position, so you'll need to be able to come into the office in Santa Monica at least three days per week. Tech stack is Next.js and Python/Django. https://jobs.lever.co/athletetoathlete/f4e4d6e8-acbb-45e7-94bb-5d9bedbc565d #GetFediHired
