Not really my community (although it almost was), but the Laravel leadership always gave me car-dealership-owner vibes, so an embrace of DHH is not surprising.

@jimw@mefi.social On the other hand, I think Laravel is so successful because it's run like a business. Even if that sometimes ends up in weird, hype marketing. It also seems that many successful tech people have beliefs that overlap with the ones of tech bros. This probably includes Taylor, even though he has been smart enough to keep quiet on that part.
