I dusted off and plugged in my seven year old Sisyphus mini sand table and it still works!

I just read up on "BrowserGate", where LinkedIn is secretly (and illegally) searching users' computers for installed Chrome extensions. So of course I had to create a simple example web page to demonstrate what they're doing. It uses only client-side javascript and doesn't send your data anywhere: https://jasoncoon.github.io/chrome-ext-list More info: https://browsergate.eu

Perlin noise flow field pattern. Particles follow a Perlin noise flow field that slowly evolves over time. The flow field has a strong upward bias. Each particle leaves a fading trail drawn from the currently selected color palette. Particles respawn at the bottom when they drift off-screen or age out.

I'm revisiting "Sol v2". I tore it down, rewired the 1,628 pixels into eight parallel channels, and went from 20 to 72 FPS. 😁 https://www.evilgeniuslabs.org/sol-v2

You want to know an actively developed marketplace for makers that hasn't been down for a week for unannounced yet "scheduled" maintenance? One that supports payment via Stripe instead of PayPal? That supports VAT / import duty handling? That doesn't throw '504 Gateway Timeout' errors every time you go to update stock, etc, etc? It's @lectronz: https://lectronz.com

It's an "antimatter for breakfast" kind of morning. And homemade Guinness beer bread. And Fibonacci1024. And #Pixelblaze.

Interesting, I had no idea the Dummy13 creator is being targeted by an illegitimate patent troll. Also Prusa is releasing hardware CAD files and the new Open Community License: https://blog.prusa3d.com/core-one-cad-files-release-under-the-new-open-community-license-ocl_127290

I currently have one Fibonacci512 PixelBlaze available for sale, DM me if interested. With everything going on, this may be the last one I have available for quite some time. Please note this one uses WS2812 LEDs, not SK9822. It's still gorgeous (if I do say so myself). 😁 Fully assembled, includes the brilliant #PixelBlaze and Sensor Expander by @wizard for sound-reactivity, live-coding patterns via web UI over wi-fi, etc. More info: https://www.evilgeniuslabs.org/fibonacci512-pixelblaze

In disc phyllotaxis, like Fibonacci256, lighting every N LEDs from the center produces a pattern. If N is from the Fibonacci sequence a spiral (or mesh of spirals) is produced because the divergence (angle of succession in a single spiral arrangement) approaches the golden ratio. https://lectronz.com/products/fibonacci256-hdr-166mm

This is two fifths of a Fibonacci1024 (slices 2 & 3): 410 WS2812 RGB LEDs, matte black LED acrylic diffuser and wall mounting back plate, 476x303mm (18.7x11.9in), audio-reactive, driven with #Pixelblaze. Let me know if you're interested.

I'm selling my Flux Beamo 30W CO2 laser cutter, rotary, autofocus, and diode laser addons, 4" inline exhaust fan & vent ducts. Asking $1,400, local (Kansas City) pickup. Used but in excellent working condition. Paid $2,800 total originally. I've bought a larger one. I'd love to keep this one as well, but just don't have space for it. Works completely offline via USB and/or local via wi-fi. No internet required. https://kansascity.craigslist.org/tls/d/overland-park-flux-b...
