Again, working at Microsoft is working at the new IBM. You can find a new job if you have Microsoft on your resume (or Google) of over 5+ years. https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/microsoft-fires-head-of-israeli-subsidiary-and-other-managers-over-surveillance-of-palestinians/ VPs, execs, all of them are complicit

Although not as popular over here, if there's anyone here who has an ATProto account and wants to test out some stuff I have coming out later this year (eventually open sourced, I just don't need eyes on it yet), you can register at https://waitlist.olamaelcu.net/

NGL I wish that C2S was more viable on here. That'd make AP so much more *interesting* to me.

I should have known better than to reply to someone from an instance called "liberal.city" tbh. I give way too many chances.

Figured this was a better place to ask but @evan, with the move to the ActivityPub API (I've been looking and reading over https://github.com/swicg/activitypub-api and looking to see how I can incorporate this in https://divine.video), how do you think this'll fare with existing clients that lean heavy into the Mastodon API?

https://brennan.day/software-harm-reduction/ > I don't know if this is pessimistic of me, but I think we are approaching the point where it will be near-impossible to use software that doesn't, in some manner, contain generative AI code. We may already be there. The thing is, I actually think we've seen this movie before. Because it is. It's in Darwin (macOS and iOS kernel), Windows and Linux. And unless you're doing IT + building completely parit...

https://www.olamaelcu.net/ is going to get a Fedi account (I really wish I could just do @olamaelcu.net, I've never liked the @-@ stuff) but that's my little lab - more information 1 May!

Unfollowing is the cheapest form of self care I can exercise online.

It's so easy to just languish and not care about anything if the *only* thing you can care about is getting to the next day. Seeing how I treat my mind and body between work (an external force!) reminds me of how much control that has over one. Perhaps less so if you're with family or coupled and you have a buoy (I'm fortunate to just have the buoy) but noticing that shift in myself is tremendous.

I really do need to learn how to drive. Even if I don't have a car, renting one when I'm in different places would eliminate my directional isolation lol

Going to take a week to reflect a bit but I'm no longer with Coforma. It was a good almost two years. But I'll be looking for work in about two weeks (need to do some tidying up). https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jacky-alcine_i-am-open-to-work-as-ive-been-recently-let-share-7448399262792704000-8lK2?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAE7URiEBHoHx1Yy-gH_cm5Z0wtJ2ArdpCRc
