Great article! I also no longer feel confident calling myself a “programmer” after reading it 😂 https://www.cocoawithlove.com/blog/matrix-multiplications-swift.html

@_Davidsmith Hey David, can you tell me if you noticed by any chance issues with the beta watch apps in 26.5 not launching from widgets? Specifically when installed from TestFlight, same builds work fine when installed from the App Store. Can’t figure out if that’s just me. Thanks! 👍

RE: https://mstdn.social/@chrisvasselli/116657333917391076 Sometimes I want to develop an Android version of Parcel. Not because I need to or will enjoy doing it, but just to show Apple the middle finger — because that's clearly what they're showing me as a developer with their Search Ads.

This is a joke, right? They can’t be dropping support for Series 6, 7, 8 and 9 all at once. EDIT: Series 9 is still supported.

I am pretty happy with the WWDC keynote this year. Yes, not as exciting as in some previous years but it is great to have speed improvements across the board. As a parent, also happy to see improved screen time.

When a developer hears about type checking performance improvements in SwiftUI in Xcode 27

I hope that someone at Apple will fix that 🫩 FB23050634

Siri AI: two steps forward, one step back 😆

Also, if you are a 3rd party developer and you have an app intent with an app shortcut with Siri phrases - make sure that those trigger phrases work in Siri AI. Parcel’s commands almost don’t work in Siri AI and there is (as expected) no relevant app domain to have a proper integration 🫩

The new sidebar in Golden Gate is not something that I expected to dislike. When Apple released Tahoe last year, the sidebar seemed to be a waste of space. But it matched Liquid Glass design well. Now in Golden Gate the toolbar items are very much "elevated" (thanks to Liquid Glass) while the sidebar is flat. There is a bit of a disconnect now.

Siri AI on the watch is rough in beta 3. Very slow and does not work for simple commands.

I have been migrating reports in @debitandcredit to Swift Charts for the last few months. I have to say, Swift Charts is surprisingly feature rich considering that it is a new framework. 👍

I want add a Siri command to @debitandcredit to check how much money is left in a budget. Imagine that you have a budget called “Takeaway Food”. You want to use Siri to hear how much is left to spend. Please write 3-4 phrases that you would use with Siri to do that. If you speak other languages, please include them too 😎

Very pleased to finally ship Apple Card integration in @debitandcredit 🎉

Many thanks to the local App Store team for selecting @parcel as the app of the day in Australia and New Zealand 😎

Bad news, it looks like the “enable-icon-stack-fallback” flag is not coming back to Xcode. At least that’s the reply I got for my feedback. Guess I am staying on Xcode 26.0 until they disallow uploads with it.

For the love of god, Hyundai, it is a stupid idea to copy Tesla’s interior in 2026. We need physical buttons! https://thekoreancarblog.com/exclusive-is-this-the-next-gen-hyundai-ioniq-5-or-a-secret-tech-overhaul/

The new Studio Display (non-XDR version) is a disappointment, to say the least.

MacBook Neo feels and looks good but man, the trackpads feels strange. Still a good device for new Mac users and I hope that it will make macOS more popular. Which will make Apple improve it and fix bugs. Right? 😆
