Let them have their theocracy, guns, racism, misogyny, etc. in their own special little haven. Give it a few months, maybe a year tops. It will detonate. All the smart, reasonable people escape; the remainder go to war with each other. These are people that fundamentally don&#39;t get along with other people.

When I was a kid, gas stations had to start selling fuel by the 1/2 gallon because the pumps only had two digits for the price and couldn&#39;t handle prices over $1.00/gallon. Looks like that may happen again?

So this is weird: I got an email from USPassportRenewal@state.gov claiming &quot;Our records indicate your U.S. passport will expire within 1 year.&quot; This is wrong - my passport is good for another six years. Anybody else seen this? My first thought of course was &quot;scam&quot;, but the handful of links in the email all go directly to legit and obvious US State Department (state.gov) sites about how to renew your passport. @briankrebs

I flunked a data-broker-privacy-snoop identity test because I didn&#39;t recognize a zip code I&#39;d lived in briefly over thirty years ago. Did it ever occur to the people designing these tests that Palantir&#39;s memory may be better than ours?
