So this is weird: I got an email from USPassportRenewal@state.gov claiming "Our records indicate your U.S. passport will expire within 1 year."
This is wrong - my passport is good for another six years. Anybody else seen this?
My first thought of course was "scam", but the handful of links in the email all go directly to legit and obvious US State Department (state.gov) sites about how to renew your passport.
