A country in which "AI" is being developed at furious speed without yet strict laws governing "AI" at all levels is like a giant Wuhan laboratory, where top technology and under top secrecy things nobody can control is being developed, not to serve humanity, but to serve their stock market price.

Just like it I have never been awed by the fact that a computer can play chess better than humans, so I have never been awed by the fact that computers can generate and analyze part of computer code. Nor do I think it is strange that a machine, even if an ugly and insect-like machine, can run faster than human sprinters. Nothing of this suggests to me we are in an &#39;era of AI&#39;. It is an era of capitalism betting on the betters on &quot;AI&quot;.
