I accidentally bumped my ISO settings before taking this shot and apparently uncovered a new species of vampire heron. :Blobhaj_Ghostie_Surprise:π¦

I think this little glittermonster is a purple hairstreak! The kite-tail-like faux antennae in back are a clever bit of misdirection for predators.

I'm looking for something like but an alternative to Google's Recorder phone app, something that both makes/keeps a voice to text transcript and makes/keeps a voice recording (to go back to whenever transcript is wacky). Hoping for at least moderately accurate and portable (phone app), with no (or disable-able) ai and preferably no cloud req. Any friends or friendlies have something they use/trust/recommend? Thanks in advance for any recs!

"Most people know more as they get older; I give all that the cold shoulder. I spent my second quarter century Losing what I had at university And refusing to take in what had happened since. Now I know none of the names in the public prints, And am starting to give offence by forgetting faces And swearing I've never been in certain places. It will be worth it, if in the end I manage To blank out whatever it is that is doing the damage. Then there will be nothing I know....

"There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground, And swallows circling with their shimmering sound; And frogs in the pools singing at night, And wild plum trees in tremulous white, Robins will wear their feathery fire Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire; And not one will know of the war, not one Will care at last when it is done. Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree If mankind perished utterly; And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn, Would scarcely know that we we...

Once upon a time, my aunt and uncle took me to an amusement park and told me I could visit any attraction I liked. My aunt suggested the wild rapids ride. My uncle suggested the space roller coaster. I asked to sit in the quiet little chair under a giant tree and watch a young man cut peoples' profiles out of paper. Me, circa age ten. #ThrowbackThursday

I've been waking up every morning with this little earwyrm from my summer gaming. It's not a favorite song or anything, it's just that it's like I've been isekai'd to an anime groundhog day experience where I'm stuck repeating my first semester as a new student at Gekkoukan High School every day. https://megamitensei.fandom.com/wiki/Time #VGMWednesday
