    Riding high off of #conofthenorth after glow, I think I want to put serious effort into getting a long running game of Public Access or maybe Trophy off the ground. I need to find more narrative minded local gamers though.

    I love the little cottage industry that&amp;#39;s grown up around 3d printing miniatures and terrain for tabletop games. The economies and scale though just feel wrong to me. I don&amp;#39;t want to subscribe to a single studio that pumps out a dozen new figures a month for $30/month. I don&amp;#39;t have time to print or paint a dozen figures every month, even if I it&amp;#39;s a good deal if I needed a dozen new elves every month.     Reading the 2024 Dragon Game book, it did some reasonable good stuff. It&amp;#39;s still a compromise game that does everything halfway good, and nothing particularly well, but at least they seem to have rounded off some sharp corners.

    The Electric State RPG from Free League landed in my mailbox today and oof, this game is bleak... Road tripping through a slow motion apocalypse in alternate mid 90s California, with a random table for mental trauma when you suffer a breakdown. I&amp;#39;m not sure I&amp;#39;m ever going to convince anyone to play this with me, but it&amp;#39;s a good read.
