I love the little cottage industry that's grown up around 3d printing miniatures and terrain for tabletop games. The economies and scale though just feel wrong to me. I don't want to subscribe to a single studio that pumps out a dozen new figures a month for $30/month. I don't have time to print or paint a dozen figures every month, even if I it's a good deal if I needed a dozen new elves every month. I want to pay $3-$5 for a single figure that I need/want and have them easily searchable. MyMiniFactory is cool, but I don't want to "join" a "tribe", I'm just printing stuff for my game. Also, while Kickstarter funding for mini sets is probably convenient for the sculptors, I'm not going to pay $200 for a pack of 300 STL files I'm only going to print 5 of.
