UK government department outsources AI %thing. It's hardwired to use either AWS; Azure, Gemini or OpenAI. (๐Ÿคฆ already) But I appreciate they open sourced it. There's no docs, but it's on GitHub. Only it doesn't work and the Terraform provided is not open sourced, so what looked like ready-to-go TF is not at all. Then you see ANOTHER UK gov department has forked it. They've added a bit more documentation, but it's still broken. Both teams ask pe...

This is an actual comprehensive and sensible review of the #Ferrari Luce. Spoiler: it's very, very good. That shouldn't be a surprise, at the price it has to be. But I think once all the silliness has died down this car is going to be a collector's item. I reckon years from now it will be seen as the pinnacle of early #EV execution by the best car company in the world: https://youtu.be/B86taQzY5Es?is=r1zLoU4TgsOx8V0_ (Yes, it's Top Gear, but it's proper...

It's funny how much modern #EV predicted ranges fluctuate. Obviously depending on software, but our ID.Buzz bases future range on recent past driving, I think a lot of EV brains do. It tends to do a lot of motorway and fast roads in #France and the max range prediction hovers around 320/330 kilometres. Here in #Italy it's the only car with us for a month and it's doing all the ducking about, so now the prediction is close to 400 kilometres. EVs much prefer shopping trips to motorway...

Well. @drupalassoc@mastodon.social has migrated our company profile to their new website (nice) but added a "warning" across the top directing people away from it to a Certified Partner directory because we are not Certified Partners (nobody told us this was happening or asked us if we wanted to upgrade, which would've cost a further $500 it seems) even though we paid them $1,000 in May (not very nice at all). Take a paying sponsor and vandalise their company profile? Colour me not...

So many questions today! Does anyone know if it's possible to deep link into a bookmark in a document in #Collabora with #Nextcloud? I'm looking for similar behaviour to Google Drive, where the bookmark stub is appended to the link. I don't think you can, but asking just in case I missed something! // @nextcloud@mastodon.xyz @CollaboraOffice@mastodon.social

I struggle to watch a Labour politician debating on TV at the moment and take them seriously. Which is particularly sad, I didn't vote Labour last time, but historically I (mostly) respected the party and hoped this government would be effective, especially after the utter shit show that went before it. I suppose this is a visceral sign of how far the trust in Starmer's government has been eroded by continuous missteps, broken promises and tone-deaf policy decisions. And in such...

So today I totally accidentally snuck into a private Porsche Club France race meet. I took my dad along because it was advertised on the circuit's website, pulled up to the gate, security guard came out and I said "I'm here for the Porsche thing" and he just let us in. Then we found ourselves infield surrounded by racing cars and drivers. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Only found out we shouldn't be there when I tried to get a program for tomorrow. I think someone in Chronopost Nรฎmes is stealing car batteries on delivery. Twice in a row I have been contacted to say my new battery for the Fiat 500 is damaged and can I please refuse the delivery to save them the trip. Legit delivery cancellation, company sends out new battery, same happens again. It's almost the perfect crime, because if challenged they can just take a hammer to the package and say "See?" ๐Ÿคท

Just looked at the #DrupalCon session form, looked at how long it is, figured I've never been picked no matter what I've proposed, measured that against how tired I am, and meh... Nah. This might be the first DrupalCon in a long time I don't go to. I think I'll focus on camps, #DrupalCamp #Spain will probably be around the same time, I'd rather do that I think if they manage to do an English track.

Somehow I had never really noticed this before, but British letters have your address top right and the destination address under and left aligned, because the "window" in a window envelope is bottom left. In France it's the opposite! You put your address first, but ranged left, and the destination address under and ranged *right*, because the window is bottom right on a French envelope.
