  When students visit my office they often want a sec to check out the mugs. I ask the internationals which city is closest to home. It’s always nice to share with someone from a place I’ve visited. The 9 country Euro-sprint this summer meant I needed to add a new shelf.

  Experimenting with “always on” circuits from AliExpress so mobile phone chargers don’t auto-shutoff when microcontrollers are attached. This came with all jumpers on which heated enough to burn skin. Just 25mA wouldn’t keep alive. Just the 50mA jumper works & is not very warm. CPB can idle w/o battery off. #Maker

  With a child looking to transfer I’m seeing how US college sticker pricing is absolutely not reliable & that you don’t know cost until you have an offer & aid letter. One school about 90k gave a 30k scholarship. Not expecting it from either financial or academics.
