the main annoyance about reading any GNU documentation is cringing every time I see a "s/he". like we haven’t been using they for a person of indeterminate gender for centuries. I’d rather they put stallman‘s neopronoun there than s(he).

so the kanji for the number 4 is 四. I was curious as to why that contains the radical for „legs“ enclosed in a box, and I have decided that this probably references an animal in a cage or similar (or the enclosure is just for emphasis) and animals have four legs. this is based on absolutely nothing except looking at the radicals involved. :)

remembered yesterday that I once wanted to make a non evil version of pokémon go. would run fully offline (aside from GPS ofc), use gen 1 style fully 2d pixel graphics for everything, turn-based combat and capture systems,…just brainstorming with my wife a revealed that I have so many fun ideas for this. now I just need the time and the gamedev skills to actually do this 🥴

ah fun, I just found old paperwork where I asked the national insurance provider to please please grant me some hours of therapy the form requesting that apparently got lost at some point and didn’t reach the right department for over 6 months the best part is of course: you have to do this dance every few months to get 33% of the therapy costs back. they also take a few months to process each therapy bill you submit I love our completely functional healthcare system
