Compiling apps on the SGI Fuel with just one MIPS R14k 600 MHz CPU isn&#39;t fun 💤 It takes 14 minutes to compile the &#39;Second Reality&#39; demo 🥱 Now with distcc and remote sgi-mips-irix6.5 cross compiler on two remote x86_64 VMs with just 4 cores assigned to each, it takes only 40 seconds!! ⚡

GTA3 on IRIX? 🤔 After almost two days of troubleshooting this beast finally compiles without errors. Loads and converts textures and shows start menu. 😆 Don&#39;t know yet if it will ever be playable or if I&#39;m just wasting my time. At least distcc was a big help to reduce the time of countless compile attempts.
