Went to the next town this past Saturday to go for a nature walk. Saw a sign for a book sale by the local public library. Of course we had to go. There were a lot of books and also CDs and records on vinyl. When we went to pay, we found out it was a "whatever amount you're willing to donate but you could also just take them away for free if you're so inclined" type of book sale. They use the money from their twice yearly book sales to fund free services at the library, like com...

Just did our regular walking route in full for the first time since I buggered my knee last month and it didnt make me feel like dying. But I was wearing my regular walking shoes instead of the bulky, new hiking boots, so, I don't know. Maybe what my feet are wearing does make a difference?

I hadn't seen any updates from @barrd in a while. Did a little search and found out he died unexpectedly back in February. I knew Dave from Pebble (defunct). Not very long, but from the few interactions I had with him, I could tell he was a lovely person. Rest easy, Dave! https://bristolwordpresspeople.org/dave-barr/ #T2 #Pebble

Somewhere on Sognefjellet, the highest mountain pass in Norway (and all of Northern Europe). It reaches an altitude of 1,434 meters (4,705 feet) above sea level. Definitely one of my favourite mountain passes (I love mountain passes!). #FootpathFriday #Norway #Sognefjellet #Travel #TravelPhotography

Contemplating making myself a granny square cardigan even though I haven't touched my crochet kit in years. I'm sure it's just like riding a bike. (I hope?) This pattern looks fairly simple: https://wildandwanderful.com/blog/2023/11/free-granny-square-cardigan/ #Crochet #Craft #DIY

Went to a collectible store where they had a table full of random stickers. 5 for $1! This is my 5 lol. The neurospicy one is my favourite. #NeuroSpicy #Stickers

Seeing a production of Saturday, Sunday, Monday. It's almost 3-hour long with two intermissions. We're at the second intermission and I can't wait for it to be over so I can have dinner. So hungry! Doesn't help that it's set around Italian food and it smells like Italian food.

This article makes me want to redo my messy garden. 😄 A bit too late for that now, but maybe next year? https://rooted-haven.com/how-to-make-native-landscaping-look-intentional/ #Gardening #NativePlants

Craving the food of my people. Naturally have to allot at least three hours just to cook one dish. 😭 On a happier note, it's on the stove, simmering for the next 2-3 hours. I got through the worst part: gathering all the ingredients and spices from my super messy kitchen pantry. Now I just have to remember not to rub my eyes with my hands after handling some hot chili peppers. #Cooking

It kind of annoys me how in CSS you can make link underline wavy but you can't make border line wavy. 🤨

Spotted this headstone at the old cemetery in Reykjavik last year. Love how the moss has become a decorative element on it. There's an information board at the cemetery stating that they have some rare moss species growing there. I wish I could tell which ones. #TextureTuesday #Mosstodon #LichenSubscribe #Reykjavik #Iceland #Cemetery

We got stuck behind some slow-moving farm vehicles this morning and saw a bald eagle flying by low. It was after a tiny bird that managed to escape but had that "holy crap!" look on it when we saw it landed on a small tree by the road. That's all. That's the story.

A view of the fjord from the window of a bedroom at the Herring Era Museum in Siglufjörður, Iceland. It's a good place too kill the time while waiting for the pouring rain to stop. (May 2013) #FensterFreitag #WindowFriday #Iceland #Travel #TravelPhotography

The spousal unit bought Magical Athlete today. It's a goofy game. Just finished playing it for the first time. It was fun, but would probably be more fun with more than two players. Anyway, I won, so, yay me! #BoardGames #TableTopGames #MagicalAthlete

This is the front entryway of the Canadian Embassy in Reykjavik, Iceland that we stumbled upon while walking around back in June 2019. Being Canadian, I felt obliged to take a picture. 😄 #DoorsDay #Reykjavik #Iceland #Canada
