We managed to reduce urbanists.social DB size in Jan, which cut $60/mo off of the burn rate, but that has crept back up by $10/mo despite `tootctl statuses remove`, and now we're back at that $50 jump in masto.host pricing plans while still not quite hitting $150/mo in donations. Anybody got a solution for the 12GB preview_cards table? #mastodonAdmin (graph from https://hcb.hackclub.com/urbanists-social )

#BikeNite A8 I've made a few crossings of the river near sunset this week, returning from #BikeSummerPDX group rides, and passed 600 miles on the #lectricOne, after about six months. I'm still not happy with their programming choices / inflexibility relative to the throttle and assist levels (๐Ÿ™„ "annoying if you ever pedal" โ„ข๏ธ.) I lean toward the #umbrellaBike (yuba #superCargo) if it's wet/cold & transporting the sub-100lb child or wanting to keep cargo dry, the bakfiets format is also good for some load shapes, but underpowered front hub only as-is now. This is confusing for me, when she talks about the government building highways as a public good and for the survival of democracy. Car-brain I guess. I'm sure it confuses her to explain why the democrats are protecting a two-party system when fascism has a grip on one party entirely and most of the other... Fascism as an economic system is a weird way to put it, but I guess that's the autocracy the billionaires wanted to buy themselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEEj1glovvM

The sad irony of the blame-drivers culture, absolving traffic Engineers using that magical American scepter of Personal Responsibility, when we all know drivers aren't going to be held accountable anyway (because that would be cruel, to withhold transportation from someone, like all of those kids that aren't allowed to go even 1/2 mile from their homes without a chauffeur.)
