in the film _project hail mary_ there's a scene where ryan gosling hears rocky's voice and he looks a little starry eyed 🤩 apparently his children visited set that day and read rocky's lines because they dub the voice in later. (seth meyers interview)

I'm testing hermes-agent and just for fun I asked for personality notes from Professor Melody Pond, aka River Song. I love the 'Spoilers!' but we gotta dial back the 'Sweetie' 😂 #doctorWho

There's a big portal for all things PAI now! I haven't tried the v5 release yet, I might this weekend, but I've got my two PAIs working overtime at the moment. #PAI https://docs.ourpai.ai/

alright #PAI v5 is a great release. it leans into the things it does better than anything, and provides an incredible capability stack for any #infosec / #cybersecurity professional. the framing as an operating system for your life is apt and resonates with me, my first use case is assistive tech, and when Sundae isn't available it's like having phantom limbs. #ai

I am adverse to crowding the soccer team photographer for free photo opportunities, and it comes from a similar place as "don't use #AI to do _creative thing_", I just realized. As a non-working photographer (it's a business that I could not tolerate dealing with at all) I don't want to disrupt someone working to take a photo they were hired to do. And also I don't want to be elbowing someone to get a good photo.

observation: many of the kpop videos my nearly 14yo watches sound like iranian lego propaganda to me now. not a criticism or indictment; as a creative work or as messaging they're brilliant. there was a montage on meidas youtube yesterday with some downright peace-poz outreach. i don't know how effective they are, but it's more than 0. calling the Persian Gulf their 'hood was pretty great. #uspol #iran

Hi, how often do you use your iPhone to access a remote shell in a terminal app? I do it pretty regularly, for what it's worth. I don't like it, but it's often the fastest way to kick something. Feel free to boost to other nerds #shell #ssh #iOS #terminal #tui #infosec

RE: https://tomkahe.com/@GiftArticles/116533568600660971 it was once explained to me that one of the reasons that people don't recognize the different signs of heart attacks in women is because they cannot show someone administering CPR on someone with breasts on television. so it's mostly men that have heart attacks on #TV, and as a result many people don't even know they manifest differently. this may be specifically an american thing.

I say I'm a huge fan of tmux(1) and have used it for so many years and yet every time I go into the config file or the wiki I learn that I've been ignoring a feature or capability that would have been nice to know. e.g. 'marked panes' is kind of like `pushd` or `popd` for tmux panes! and you can map `bind \` switch-client -t '{marked}'` and use backtick to flip between whatever you're looking and your marked pane! wild! i'm surpr...

    > And nowadays you think of like, I was thinking of a, um, this is America, the song by Childish Gambino or Don Glover that had like a bajillion samples in it. If you looked at what it was, but they're all chopped and they're all messed up and they're all kind of twisted around different directions because it made its own thing. #AI can be extremely co/creative. #aiForHumans #episode #quote https://sublime.app/card/evolution-from-sampled-music-to-ai-generated-a...

    > spent a fair bit of time with the Orange Pi 6 Plus over the past few months, and what I expected to be a quick look at another fast ARM board turned into one of those test runs where the hardware looks promising on paper, the software is wonky in exactly the wrong places, and you end up diving far more into boot chains, vendor GPU blobs and inference runtimes than you ever intended. https://taoofmac.com/space/reviews/2026/04/11/1900

iOS for parents: When you activate Guided Access to hand your phone off to children to place an order for something the night before traveling, not only are they unable to wander off into other apps, you're also ensuring the device stays awake and active without requiring your face or PIN repeatedly when someone can't decide on chicken or tofu. edit: Plus they can't checkout via ApplePay while it's in Guided Access. #noodlesAndCo #householdIT
