  If you have a #VisionPro, I recently jumped back into the Theater app and watched some of their pre-rendered Immersive content. Particularly the Junkyard Nebula movie. Probably the highest quality visuals I’ve ever seen in VR. Somehow higher quality than what’s currently being captured with the Ursa camera, perfect focus, super sharp, fast motion that somehow doesn’t make you nauseous.   I guess the surprise here is that internally they actually thought a heavy, $3500, M5 variant of the headset was really going to be something of the next iPad or iPhone and not a platform for developers and enthusiasts to get their feet wet with “spatial” and true AR experiences.   Even with Vision Pro “dead”, as long as the Mac Virtual Display keeps working and they keep releasing movies in the TV app (particularly 3D movies) I’ll keep using it on the regular. It’s a great portable/productivity monitor and the movie watching experience is 1000% better than watching them in most theaters.

  Looking for some camping recommendations (preferably BLM/free) in Northern Minnesota and North Dakota. Husband and I are heading up to Alaska for the summer, but first hightailing it from Northern Michigan to Glacier National Park, so need some places to camp along the way.

  Mad at myself for buying Starfield on PS5 thinking I’d enjoy it after a few years of patches and fixes from the OG launch on Xbox. NOPE Still feels really janky. Bethesda really needs a new engine/tech for its games because it’s really showing its seams.

  Really enjoying the Lord of Hatred expansion for Diablo IV. I’m not a super hardcore Diablo player but have put hundreds of hours over the years into D3 and D4 now. Been playing a lot of it on my Vision Pro with the Portal app laying on the couch. 😂

  Been enjoying For All Mankind. Not for the acting or characters for sure, but I want to see where the larger story arc goes (which I believe was the original intent of the series). What happens after Mars/Europa, where else do we go? 2 more seasons in our solar system seems like a stretch, so I’m assuming we go interstellar in the final season?

  I created USDZ files of my old #MacOSX Puma (10.1) and Jaguar (10.2) boxes. They look great on #VisionPro! Sadly don’t have a Cheetah (10.0) box because my first Mac shipped with it already installed (dual booted OS 9.1 and 10.0).   Finished Death Stranding 2 last night. Kind of Kojima unhinged at the end, but I’m 100% here for it. Graphically phenomenal. Actually played about 2 hours of end game stuff today too. Loved it.

  Super shocked that the “concerts” feature in #AppleMusic actually works in rural, Upper Michigan. They have events listed in a lot of our local bars and small venues. Really cool.

  I really think Apple is doing itself a disservice with their limited release notes for their OS updates. Feels like soooo many things are fixed/improved/better in 26.4 that listed in them.

  Kind of sad to never have owned a PowerMac or Mac Pro. My high school library had two PowerMac G4’s with Studio Displays that first got me into using Macs and appreciating them, but by the time I was able to get my first Mac, it was between a G4 Cube and an iBook G3. Went with the iBook because a laptop made more sense for college. I’ve had a few iMacs through the years, but never a “pro” desktop. Closest I came was having a M1 Ultra Mac Studio preordered, but then canceled and got a MacBook...

  Custom Share Sheets are the devil. …I understand why companies do it (user tracking duh), but they’re so shitty 99% of the time and usually make it more cumbersome to share the service’s content.

  Finally saw the Neo IRL yesterday. Trackpad is super nice feeling, color tinted keyboard is more saturated than I expected (I feel like a lot of color grading in videos that make it look white are wrong), and citrus is just perfect. 😍 Sadly I have no use for one.
