  so I'll freely admit that I have strong opinions about registrars and hosting companies. Ages ago my wife signed up with some hosting company and godaddy. When she asked me for help I asked her why she didn't want me to do it so she would understand it and would be able to operate it - awesome, fair, I totally get it. Now her hosting provider (I'm not even sure what, squarespace or similar) nearly quadrupled her annual fee. So she is considering shopify, etc, for her business. Anyo...

  Look at this sweet angel baby! She has an injury on her eye. So we have to give her oral meds and eye drops for a few weeks. The shelter vet said they don’t know if her eye will make it or not. As soon as I got her out of the carrier she was mewing and purring. And this is how I become a cat person. #catsOfMastodon

  Me: yo moms here w the foster babby 6yo: let me get a good look at this dumpster baby Her name is *not* dumpster baby it is uno ojo, or uno for short. On account of her having an injured peeper and what not. She is so lovey and tiny. She is very affectionate and wants to be around people. So far stinky has been walking around hissing and being Big Mad. Which is normal, but also makes me sad. It’s his house too and now there’s another cat he doesn’t know or ask for in it. #catsOfMastodon

  Okay so I agreed to watch love on the spectrum and it warms my heart to see so many young people with really incredible support networks. Parents, friends, communities, schools, clubs. This seems kind of idyllic to me. Like people actually living and supporting each other. Like a fucking commune. Fuck

  Okay so more about why dayz is good and cool and unique. Figuring out what unique way you’ll get food and water. Sometimes you find tinned food, or things you can just eat. Or you have to hunt. Or fish. Or grow food. Or murder people for their food. Or murder people and eat them. Or forage for mushrooms and stone fruit or apples and pears. Water is pretty much finding cans or finding a well. You can purify your water or boil it. I can’t say I’ve needed to boil water but I have chose to do it....

  Somehow YouTube was concurrently playing a short and a video. Both sending combined audio output. The short video interface was underneath the playing video, comments, next videos as an entirely different layer. I am least surprised by the display behavior as I am the audio. It seems surprising to me that the audio api would allow that to happen.

  I have to take a drug test lol The last job I had to do that at was walmart in 1999, or it may of been the squirt gun factory around 2000. The contracting person said “don’t worry they don’t test for THC” before even talking to me.

  My son a few days ago completely out of the blue came up to me and said dad I have to tell you a secret, and proceeds to whisper in my ear I love you more than mom. So I had to explain that we all love each other and that’s what counts and that it could hurt people’s feelings to say things like that. What did he do? Immediately went and told his mom that he loves me more. So yeah we’ve both been on the shit list since that.

  The good news is I just got hired for a job. The bad news is I have to drive back from San Diego after another day of Legoland. Remind me again why I’m disallowed amphetamines and nicotine? This seems unjust.

  Legoland has some phenomenal gardening. The landscaping is unreal. The Dino area has plants that truly feel “Jurassic park”. There were a lot of different birds, including red throated hummingbirds. Loads of ravens and ducks.

  It’s strange to me that people and reporters take the president’s unflinching responses to fixing specific problems as confidence when it’s more likely he has not and will not put any further thought into it lol
