Okay so more about why dayz is good and cool and unique. Figuring out what unique way you’ll get food and water. Sometimes you find tinned food, or things you can just eat. Or you have to hunt. Or fish. Or grow food. Or murder people for their food. Or murder people and eat them. Or forage for mushrooms and stone fruit or apples and pears. Water is pretty much finding cans or finding a well. You can purify your water or boil it. I can’t say I’ve needed to boil water but I have chose to do it. The other thing is how completely aimless the game is for me. Surviving is generally just the plan. It is rare for me to find someone that isn’t annoying to play with. Manner of speaking, their voice, their goals, etc. I haven’t ever set out to betray someone. When I do kill other survivors it’s to remove a threat or to take their stuff. I would say 3 out of 5 play throughs I won’t interact with or kill another survivor. The servers I play on are normally around. 20-49 players and chernarus is fucking huge. #dayz
