  A few articles on Facebook at the moment being posted by National MPs. All clone posts, all lies about "LABOUR ARE BRINGING IN SIX NEW TAXES". The comments underneath can be summed up as: "Good, about time those rich bastards paid their share". The tide has turned.

  So scammers managed to trick my wife and we have had $12,000 stolen from our bank accounts. That includes the holiday money we had been saving for years and inheritance money for the kids from when my mum died. Bum.

  Any party that announces plans to raise the age of retirement loses my vote. I've been working nonstop since I was 20 and I am tired of it. Moving the goalposts is deeply upsetting. Not that I was voting National anyway. I'll be voting for The Opportunities Party with the view that a vote for any of the existing parties is a wasted vote.

  So it's been a wild time over the last week and a half. We got scammed and lost all of our savings right before we will be going on holiday, my car got smashed into and I got bitten by a spider (I think) which involved me losing the skin on my nose and an infection swelling up the right side of my face and heading down towards my throat. Now the drugs for that infection along with the cold I have picked up makes my brain feel like treacle while I am trying to memorise a mihi whakatau for...

  I live a long long way away from most of the people in the world. That's a good thing for me.
