We should phase out personal use vehicles within urban centers, unless it is required for emergency services. Automatic improvement in many people&#39;s health due to gentle exercise of walking to the bus stop. Reduction in pollution. Reduced demand for vehicles means less mining for materials. If everybody stopped buying cars, think of how life would change for the better.

Taking a stance on world or local crises is important. But. It&#39;s going to get worse. Over population and global warming (and the wars these issues trigger) will continue to increase. Be careful not to over reach, be careful to take care of oneself, be careful. We can&#39;t save the world if we don&#39;t take care of ourselves.

My local library doesn&#39;t serve tea, just coffee on monday mornings. Gabriola island&#39;s library, however, has a thursday tea every week. Pondering if that is a good enough reason to move there.

One of my kids frequently makes a tapping sound while sitting at her computer. It is just like a sound from the first &quot;alien&quot; movie. I thought it was a water dripping moment, but now pretty sure it was the tracker blipping. Every time she taps like that i relive a bit of the emotional impact of that movie. An excuse to rewatch it to see how accurate my memory is, see if it actually does sound like that and if it was the first movie.
