this is from a thread on anthropic marking #ai_slop in #writing or #writingcommunity and i realized it really should be posted as a standalone: There’s two forms fear around marking AI in writing can take. She is an artwork in hidden platforms of stations long disused, starkly-lit paint flashing motion in the window of a train, passing crumbling columns. A coworker, long ago; quipped: The company asks us to treat their money like their own. But that’s a really bad idea. I’ll spin for days instead of solving a problem with purchasing some low value thing. A day or two worth of wasted work time is pretty expensive, too. Worth remembering.
