a character that is mostly me, but not completely // #writing When I was leaving the “nerd camp” yesterday, I decided I was just going to have a quiet time. So I ended up hanging out in the living room of the Airbnb while the last person was getting ready to leave. Saw them briefly going into the shower. “Hey, can you drop me off at the airport?” He had scheduling concerns, so replied “When are you leaving?” … “I guess” And I sat there second-guessing myself for asking, over and over, and then remembered “you would do it without thinking, so it’s probably ok” is something I had been reminded to accept. It wasn’t enough but made it easier to accept that asking was OK. and I got home at the other end of the trip and my cats were happy to see me and really there is not a whole lot more to be said about any of this.
