  I am an engineer. I design chips for a living and right now I am specifically doing verification. By definition my job is not artistic in any way. There are many among us who are true artists and specifically musicians, which is the kind of art that moves me the most. One such artist, Joshua Hyslop, is skilled with the ability to make guitars sing and chant cadences into my soul.   The Floppy-RAID is complete! It gets a whopping ~250kBps write speeds, but only on extremely large files forcing all mirror pools to be written to simultaneously. Small files have much slower write speeds it seems. I’m not sure how the striping algorithm normally works, but it seems like macOS’s software RAID just stacks the underlying logical disks sequentially. It’s not doing block-level striping. #FloppyRAID #Shenanigans

  I just finished watching “Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die”. Great movie with dark humor, tongue in cheek references to zombie and slasher movies, and a strangely familiar reference to modern society similar to Black Mirror.
