The Floppy-RAID is complete! It gets a whopping ~250kBps write speeds, but only on extremely large files forcing all mirror pools to be written to simultaneously. Small files have much slower write speeds it seems. I’m not sure how the striping algorithm normally works, but it seems like macOS’s software RAID just stacks the underlying logical disks sequentially. It’s not doing block-level striping. #FloppyRAID #Shenanigans
