  Having just read about (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c24zdel5j18o) AI being a source of Ultra processed information; I'm now wondering if it's ok to call it mechanically reclaimed information. Some might say the Bernard Matthews Turkey Drumstick of the internet.

  First foray into reclaiming wood for turning from people knocking down trees yesterday. Apple is apparently hard to come by as noone grows them for lumber, and few people want to cut down fruit trees. Sadly they'd attacked the tree with a chainsaw, so not many bits were in one piece, but got a few sensible ones Now just need to let the juicy bits sit and wait for a year.

  Treat GenAI the same as that kink you're interested in. Don't force it on other people, don't assume they're interested. Stop, and get informed consent from all parties before you play. And if you're not getting that consent, then maybe consider doing something different. It's cool not to consent and everyone should respect that or be socially excluded.

  So if while you're making a 15s video clip to show the result of fixing a bug, you find a bug then record a 30s clip to show that bug then find you can't replicate the bug because of a deeper bug... which takes 60s to demo. Is it better practice to pretend you saw nothing or spend the morning filming bugs? Asking for a friend.

  NFC just finished. As ever a great con. Highlights: spending time up in the skybar with Kanda, eating semla, playing guess the difference with anyone we could find on Friday night. Photographing in my stompies too. Definitely spent far too much money in the Den, but brought home @flavia to make up for it. As always working with conops was a treat. There were highs, lows, lost and found but generally we made it to the end and packed everything away again.

  Was up in Scotland this weekend doing the loch Ness cycling event. Great fun, long journeys in the car north. Did everything I wanted with the event, mainly keeping up with the reopening of the roads and pedalled up the hill in one go. Could definitely have done more preparation - Strava was reporting I was about 2/3 as fast as I was before I did the LeJog. Journey back was equally nice, detoured via the hill again and found it just as high and wild as when we first visited.
