The 10-cent CH32V003 microcontroller and a single capacitor make a complete breakout board. Honestly, I didn't even need the PCB. The capacitor could be soldered directly on the pins.   You can use a buck converter as a buck-boost converter. As in, get negative voltage. I just checked. On paper. And guess what? They are nearly identical. The schematic of one turns into the other. The only difference is the negative side of the input capacitor. Mind=blown.   I just met a cyclist on a long-distance 4000km ride. Sounds awesome! I'd do it! Then I check the website and see the reality of digitally-burdened world: Participants must install the official tracking app. What app? There's no word about it. I think it's safe to assume it doesn't run on #Linuxmobile . Presumably, it needs online access that I'd have to buy – I cycle offline. Participants must follow the track. Checking the map is what I hate most when #cy...

  My #bike chain got replaced today. It was new in February when I replaced the whole drive train. So even though I wiped and oiled it every week, that chain was worth only about 4-5 months... Maybe 2000km? 9-speed, if that matters. How often do you replace your chains? #biketooter #cycling #bicycle #fedibikes

  Rapid #PCB #manufacturing . Turnaround time: about 3h. Yield: 67%. Minimum resolved spacing: 0.1mm, thinnest trace: 0.2mm. Minimum not resolved spacing: 0.25mm :S. Not pictured: days spent learning the craft, the simpler board with 7 failed attempts, the 3 or 4 really simple designs in between, the first attempt ever that worked flawlessly, pants stained with lye. #DIY #electronics #chemistry
