Also briefly stopped by this beauty, yesterday. Possibly the first time I’ve stopped there in sunshine, now I think of it! Anyway: Phwaor

Excellent weather for flying some flags at #PortyPride's dog parade, yesterday. And it never actually rained on us, which was a first for me! A great day, as always, and it's still going today. Get along to an event if you can! https://portypride.com/2026events #Pride #Pride2026

Feels like these two #games were reasonably swift, this morn. Listening to some instrumental music in the background as I review hundreds of drawings. But as this comes on, I can't help but pause and look out of the window to appreciate the spring and remember how lucky I am. What an incredible thing, that the right arrangement of sounds can have such an impact on you. https://youtu.be/aqiqXTA7hX4

Sad to learn of the recent death of the great Peter Aldington. Being shown around the house and garden he and his wife had designed and built themselves in the 1960s, and then lived in ever since, was one of the most wonderful moments of all my time in #architecture to date. Make the trip to visit it yourself, some time: It's so uplifting, and he made it look so easy. Our world could use more designers like Peter. https://youtu.be/nNV1_EKo7Tg https://www.turnend.org.uk/ https://arch...

One nice thing to consider on this sunny morning is that our former MSP Ash Regan is being replaced, today. I'm mildly looking forward to seeing how few votes she gets. #UKpol #schadenfreude

Digging out an old playlist for election day from - gosh - way back in 2011! Featuring the likes of Ozomatli, Black Sheep, Faith No More, Feist, and of course: Parliament. Our back garden doesn’t get a huge amount of direct sunshine after about 5:00pm, but there’s a spell of maybe ten minutes every evening when the low sun reflects off a neighbour’s window and we get this completely natural spotlight on one or two of the flowers. It looks photoshopped, but it’s completely natural! #BloomScrolling #flowers

A big day for the kittens, today: Their first steps of exploration in the outside world! Can't help being rather pleased they decided to explore among the tulips and bluebells. #Caturday #Garden #Bloomscrolling

Oh jeez, a new track from Massive Attack! https://youtu.be/L-57FrioeuE Tom Waits' voice perfect for this, to my mind. And that's the percussion from Earth Died Screaming, too, unless I'm mistaken? And good grief that's some great photography by thefinaleye in the video, too. #Music

I helped Wifebot out with a stencil design for some cakes she was making for some yoof in Glasgow, yesterday. She made the sprinkles for the cake herself, which was a new thing. And I’ve not done any stencil cutting in ages - was nice to revisit it! She made three of these, in the end, along with some cookies and fudge. Yum! #cake #Baking #stencils #TransJoy

I dunno how many of y’all listen to 3 Bean Salad or The Beef And Dairy Network Podcast, but Ben’s doing a livestream of some music creation for a future episode, and it’s rather lovely: https://www.youtube.com/live/zLRHmTnbC2Y?si=UhG7ObsVp-Ohs7As

Woken up early by the cats, so I went down to the dockside to look at a big boat. Those pictures are on the Big camera, but here’s a phone snap of the old Light House nearby. I should actually just jump the fence and go properly exploring some time, really, but I was too chicken, this morning.

Some pictures of a big heavy lifting vessel that's been shuttling feet for new turbines out from Leith to a new windfarm in the North Sea for a little while, now. The scale of it is really quite something. A few more shots from me, here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/davemorris And plenty more info on the ship, here: https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:5332007 #ports #ships #Edinburgh

Dunno about you lovely people, but so far this feels less like Storm Dave and more like just Some Shitty Weather Dave. Hrmph. #StormDave

#StormDave will be arriving later, and we suspect it may not be kind to the flowers. Which will be a shame, because it was otherwise looking like an excellent year for the tulips, at least! In a brief moment of sunshine this morning I popped out to try to record how some of it looks, but I can never quite adequately capture it. Still. Fun to try!
