today Montréal is testing its alert sirens for chemical leaks from 12 factories around the city. which immediately begs the question: why are these factories allowed in or near population centres in the first place? aren’t toxic chemical factories basically the entire justification for zoning laws? you can’t build a 4-plex here, but we need to install alarms everywhere in case chlorine gas leaks from the neighbourhood paper mill??

Vegan Metro – which isn’t a dating app – removed my adorable kitty photos because they break the rule requiring me to post only sexualising photos of my body (it’s not a dating app) hilariously, i’m pretty sure it has no users whom i haven’t met in person already so it has literally zero leverage on me, but the real take-away here is that it’s definitely not a dating app
