At my first salaried job, we paid something like 500 GBP for a lil&#39; HP tower server to live in the corner of our office. We installed Debian on it and used it to host our git repos and run builds. 6 years later it was still running fine when I left. For 2.5 devs that works out at about 2.78 GBP per dev-month. Unrelated, GitHub is down again and their enterprise plan costs over 21 USD/dev-month.
