  If a company suddenly changes your subscription billing structure (e.g., yearly to monthly), which increases your monthly cost (w/o any notification), WALK AWAY. Otherwise, the company will keep treating its customers like garbage. FYI: This happened to my family. From streaming services to dental offices and everything in between. As a customer (or patient), you have no choice.   So I finished the book. I still highly recommend. It is creatively and beautifully written and a bit absurd (which may make a great movie). I imagine it might have different meanings to different people. To me, it is a story about redemption. Just note: It is a bit intense and may not be for the squeamish.
