This is my pet peeve about Lime devices. They don't need to be locked to a cycle rack. PLEASE don't park them like this and take away the precious space from those of us who have cycles that need to be locked. #BikeTooter #Lime #MastoBikes #Seattle

It may make sense for tech giants, who rely heavily on AI, to demand water use prioritized for them. Of course, that by no means justifies it. Seattle has just enacted a year-long ban on AI data centres. I hope more municipalities follow suit. RE: https://mas.to/users/meganL/statuses/116782811977263105

New light: Ravemen FR300. I use Ravemen's AGM04 adapter to hang the light underneath my out-front mount. I tried the sandwich method but didn't like the bulk it created with my computer sitting on top of it. #BikeTooter #MastoBikes #SEABikes #Ravemen

I always prefer individual racks like these over a corral. These ones are at the Akin building, Lake City, Seattle. #CycleParkingAudit #SEABikes #BikeTooter #MastoBikes

What enrages me even more than a driver hitting a more vulnerable road user is a driver who does that AND then flees the scene. What kind of cold-blooded humans are they? https://bsky.app/profile/typewriteralley.bsky.social/post/3mmnki4rk2c2w

Why don't we implement a tax based on the vehicle weight and displacement instead? RE: https://indieweb.social/users/jbz/statuses/116648077486360920

I often hear that the urbanism discourse lacks perspectives from non-drivers. Is that true? As a self-identified urbanist who gets around almost exclusively by bike and transit, I find that inconceivable. I'd appreciate anyone's feedback on this.

Bike Industry, Please Stop Doing This I agree with pretty much everything they said here—especially (1) Manufacturers should allow parts customization in orders, and (2) bike industry as a whole should focus on entry-level and/or endurance/all-road bikes. #BikeTooter #RoadCycling #CadeMedia

Cycling is ten times more important than electric cars for reaching net‑zero cities I do believe it's important to replace as many gasoline-powered cars with EVs, but as the article says, that effort alone would not be "good enough." Reducing car travels is crucial in achieving net-zero cities in a timely fashion. #ClimateCrisis #SafeStreets

We bet you can’t guess which states rely most on wind and solar power WA is way down on the list because the state gets most of its electricity from hydro power plants. #RenewableEnergy

Updating my #introduction! I'm a Japanese living in Seattle, WA, married with a 6-year-old daughter. I write commercial database software for a living. Ironically, GNU/Linux is my primary and favourite operating system. My personal laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen 1 running ChromeOS Flex. I'm a big pedestrian/bicycle safety activist. I volunteer for a local advocacy group, Seattle Streets Alliance, to advocate for safe streets for everyone based on the #VisionZero principle. Nice t...
