Anyone else on bluesky notice that in the last couple of weeks, it has gone from a kinder, gentler, oldskool twitter to a full on full of &#39;folks I&#39;d rather not engage with&#39; site? It&#39;s so much more relaxing over here on mastodon now.

History/genealogy query: In 1826, would the term &quot;daughter in law&quot; mean something different than it does now? Reading a will that says &quot;to my daughter in law Mary Asquith, wife of William Asquith, ...&quot; Mary&#39;s maiden name is White. She was born in 1771 and married William in 1792. The will is for a man James Dunbar, born 1757 (so he is 14 years older than Mary). I&#39;m finding it hard to see how Mary could be his daughter-in-law? What connect...
