Also, I'm such a word-monger today and would like to announce therefore: I witnessed a parallel beta-sheet, stabilized by an interstrand disulfide. A mythical one, what a day!

Fascinating. Deep search does not hallucinate as such, but jumps topics like a schizophrenic with a thought disorder. In one run, it went from freedom-to-operate-related subject to LSD and psilocybin (va? I've asked to go through a spectroscopy patent...), then linked the stuff to interaction kinetics and finally, well, we talk kinetic here, don't we? Fuck chemical kinetics, how to accelerate business processes, this is kinetics.

Ah, Jesus. Of course "Pattern Recognition" is the best Gibson's novel. But finally, finally my 11+ year quest to plow through "Spook Country" is over.

Ja, did someone mention Stockholm biotech scene? https://www.science.org/content/blog-post/anti-amyloid-antibodies-alzheimer-you-already-know

The Year of the Linux Desktop is postponed again. [ 31.808538] uvcvideo 2-2:1.0: UVC non compliance... USB reset helps, but #elgatofuckyou .

Righty, let's try marimo notebooks then. Finally got a reason to, at least.

What I see is not tech independence, what I see is an unhealthy number of poorly baked solution getting tied to state money. While having more services and services of European origin is a great good, I am 100% sure the current push is not. I've watched these everything-goes-digital for the past decade, and without a proper market it won't fly. Icing this with pan-European nationalism (we the EU, the noble people) won't help. No expectations.

Oh, the kinetic vs thermodynamic solubility trap. The never ending story.

Fedora 43 -> 44. Red Hat do no wrong!

The new LTT Linux video is hilarious. One complains that the distro turned out to be immutable, while another stresses that a beta of a not-so-big DE is buggy. Of course I support big bloggers evangelizing the OS we love and use, but Lord, people, just start with Ubuntu or Mint. PewDiePie and Gaben remain the prime FOSS evangelists of the decade.

Used #ThinkPad sale! Primarily Mälardalen and likely will go via some local marketplace, but let's do #fediverse first. 1. x220 i7. Very good condition. Has a relatively new 9-cell battery. Swedish keyboard. 2. x260 i5. Shows some wears, but nothing serious. This one has also a no-name 1080p IPS screen. Comes with an okay 6-cell external battery, no internal. Not one, but two dock stations are included! Danish keyboard. 3. E540. Swedish keyboard. Details, photos, whatever one wants - j...
