I wish I had read Nonviolent Communication by Marshall B. Rosenberg years ago. It should be mandatory study in school or early university. I'm only just partway through and it's been quite illuminating.

Maybe I'm the one that's crazy. Oh sir, moet definitely you are. This is 01:00 going on 02:00 speak: At the point where you're beyond fatigue and your mind is lucid, well lubricated and somehow going at 160km/h, in a good but mildly uneasy way.

@ekis@mastodon.social since starting to use LLMs (claude in particular) more, I'm shocked at how much it can do with the right checks in place. For example, if it's not writing tests or writing the wrong tests and you don't see it, then you should change your approach (or install a off-the-shelf skill suite) I'm beginning to understand why people like Steve Yegge, and others convinced these things can replace us or change our roles to "Agent Managers", and no longer...

@CiaraNi@mastodon.green @Pepijn@mastodon.online that's interesting, so would you say it's mostly the visual apsect of the tags that annoy you? My understanding from the first post was that it's a signal for a type of account you don't want to associate with πŸ€”. One could solve the visual apsect more easily client-side if the tags aren't peppered throughout the body πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Getting back into training. Yay! This past week I did a resilience session after not exercising consistently in a long time, and my normal work day ended up being one of the best I've had. My body felt relaxed and my mind sharp and focussed. I really feel we're made for intensity, or at least I enjoy it. Find what works for you, personally small group training with knowledgeable coaches that instruct has been life changing. I can be a workhorse if I'm told what to do. A dream employ...

@regehr@mastodon.social a friend and I gave a free python programming course once and followed it up with a paid course (with exceptions for anyone that couldn't afford it) The free course was attend by kids with a real curiousity, whereas in the paid course we found many students that took the course because their parents thought it was a good idea. Though I'm entirely for that in some instances, I did find that several of them didn't engage as much with the course work. I teach...
