Lately, it feels like a lot of technology is utter shit, because it is. But you know what tech I really love? Digital photography. Whether from an actual camera or my phone. Cause down at the beach I took just shy of 900!! photos. Never had to worry about wasting film, or the cost of developing it, or waiting two weeks after getting home only to find everything was blurry. We did very well on that bit of technological advancement.

And some of the deer family that was on our street all week stopped by to say bye this morning.

They're finally doing a study focusing on women with ADHD and how their menstrual cycle affects their ADHD and the efficacy of their meds. This could help so many. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/czj8zp9e084o

Do I know about the cyclospora outbreak because I am just Online Too Much? Because I am at the taco bar having a snack and a woman just came up and ordered a caesar salad. 😳 Is this not being communicated well in traditional/mainstream media?

I left money for our friend Will and he said it was too much and I said too bad, it's what we'd spend at the kennel and the kennel doesn't send pics like this: #Caturday

Jorge is a helper kitty. This morning, I was having a very odd and disconcerting dream just before my alarm was to go off. Jorge thought to himself, "That dream is upsetting her. I will wake her up." And he did. By barfing. About 8 inches from my head.

Any day is a good day to opt out of capitalism when you can. Bit rude that the mortgage company still took the money today, but I'm not counting that, because I put it in my check register yesterday. I wished everyone a Happy Workers Day on LinkedIn, because I am an agent of chaos. (Not really, but it sounds cool, doesn't it?)

Rationally, I know it's still a bit too early for cherry tomatoes, even polytunnel grown ones. Emotionally, I NEED MY CHERRY TOMATOES. But other than that - farmers market was great, if a bit chilly. 50ºF/10ºC isn't acceptable for May as far as I'm concerned. (Yes, I will miss it in August.) Now I am struggling to figure out what I need from the market to round things out - but, I might be good?

Pizza Hut has brought back it's Book It! summer reading program for kids, and I am very happy for all of them, but was a little bummed that it's only for kids. Then I remembered I am adult with free will and I can do my own Book It and I have decided that every time I finish a book, I get a personal pan pizza. I also reserve the right to switch out the pizza for any other fun food.

I have zero profound thoughts today other than this: Cats are good.

So our local is celebrating it's 30 year anniversary tonight and I've seen a bunch of folks I haven't seen in a minute and it's been fun and not nearly the shitshow I expected, LOL. (We're all old now.) NGL, hearing more than once, "You look great!" has been nice, too. My hair cooperated, and my very minimal makeup routine of magic under eye cream, mascara, lipstick and dark lighting has gotten the job done. 🤣

Yes, taking today off was a Very Good Idea. It was a half day Friday anyway, but because I have a noon appointment, I would have had to start the day extra early and after being up very late acting like I was 20 years younger - the sleep in was excellent.

I don't know who might need to know this, but I'm gonna put it out there just in case. If you're going to be playing flaming bottle toss, you need to score the outside of the bottle a bit - otherwise it's gonna land with an unsatisfying *thunk* instead of a delightfully sparkly clattering of bits.

If anyone needs me or Sean, we will be napping until further notice on this fine Friday afternoon.

So, yesterday I heard a phrase about ADHD that I’d never heard before: “Everything is a task, nothing is a habit.” And damn, that totally explains why my brain is always all tired. Between having to actively think about every task throughout a day, and task initiation being a bitch and a half, my brain is just fighting itself all day. I can get some shaky routines going, but I still have to actively think about all the tasks within that routine. Universe did some shit QC on human brains.

Good morning! It's a long weekend Monday here, and thanks to the cats deciding I should get to sleep in until my "weekend" alarm and hassling my brother instead - they got breakfast and I have had Starbucks delivered. My brother claims Sean is a bully. To him. HOW COULD THAT SWEET FACE BE A BULLY?!

Everything may be terrible, but tonight was my fantasy baseball draft. And that means we have gotten through winter on this side of the equator and summer is coming. 🥰

Jorge got a little hotspot on his side - nothing serious, just got over-licky - so he has a t-shirt for a few days. Getting his front legs in the sleeves was a no-go - so I cut them off. I give you: Gym-Bro Jorge. To be clear, he thinks it’s great that you’re recording your workout to check your form and he’ll even make sure you’re in frame and in focus if you want. He offers to spot everyone. He doesn’t ogle the ladies at the gym. He is sure those new sneakers will make you go faster.

I've got A Christmas Carol on for the umpteenth time and I just turned to Sean and asked what the Ghost of Christmas Present shows him. I don't speak fluent cat, but the roll and stretch and purr sure sounded like, "Soft things and love." Merry Christmas, Floof Dragon.
