And the funny thing is, my brain looks at work as just one really long task. So at the end of the day, I'm thinking "Well, I worked, but that's just one thing" and somehow feel very unproductive.

@cafechatnoir ooh, right, acknowledging other people don't have to think about everything they do really explains why others aren't constantly overthinking and stumbling through the puns of life, huh :blobcatthink:

@cafechatnoir I feel the same, but diagnosed with ASD. I also constantly have a tab open in my brain on each and every task I need to do during the day (even showering and brushing teeth, yes for me AND my kids and sometimes my ADHD wife, too). And I often think about how to optimize everything all the time, because I constantly feel that there's not enough time to do all the tasks one needs to do every day to be viewed as a responsible adult. It's so exhausting.

@cafechatnoir I have plenty of habits. I'm not claiming they're good habits but they are entirely mine.

@cafechatnoir @Cheatha Interesting. I don’t have reason to suspect having ADHD, but I really dislike forming habits and lose them quickly without external help (unless it is something I am very motivated to do regularly, but then it doesn’t feel like it’s a habit, it still feels like I do it when I want to, and it typically also has irregularities). Maybe I only have one small strand of ADHD in my brain.
