I've been away from writing (and working in general) for a few weeks. Back to trying to keep some regular rhythm while unemployed by working on some half-finished essays I put on the back burner.

Today I bounced between DSW, Target and thrift stores to see if I could get a sense of my women's shoe size to middling results. Turns out most stores don't offer anything larger than an 11 (and even those are hard to come by), and even then it seems the sizing is mostly a suggestion. I wanted to know so I can do more online shopping. From what I can tell, I'm a women's 11 (maybe a 10.5) wide, and probably a 12 if they're pointed boots.

I've been mired in rejections for jobs the past 8 months. Getting some traction again though! I did a preliminary interview at a library yesterday and just got another preliminary interview for a different role at a university this afternoon.
