    I&#39;ve been away from writing (and working in general) for a few weeks. Back to trying to keep some regular rhythm while unemployed by working on some half-finished essays I put on the back burner.

    Today I bounced between DSW, Target and thrift stores to see if I could get a sense of my women&#39;s shoe size to middling results. Turns out most stores don&#39;t offer anything larger than an 11 (and even those are hard to come by), and even then it seems the sizing is mostly a suggestion. I wanted to know so I can do more online shopping. From what I can tell, I&#39;m a women&#39;s 11 (maybe a 10.5) wide, and probably a 12 if they&#39;re pointed boots.

    I&#39;ve been mired in rejections for jobs the past 8 months. Getting some traction again though! I did a preliminary interview at a library yesterday and just got another preliminary interview for a different role at a university this afternoon.
