I'm very pleased with my latest #RaspberryPi creation. We've got an old-school-style door bell that runs off 8v AC, that's in keeping with the property. I got a cheap AC to DC step down converter, that's wired in to the bell at one end, and GPIO on the Raspberry Pi on the other. This is then plugged in to a little Go application that listens for the pin to be high (with some debouncing) and through the magic of a PWA, sends a push notification to my Android phone,...

Has @joenash got a job naming things at AWS? I hear the cool kids are calling it: AWSPSHMDKTCOT https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/big-data/introducing-the-aws-proserve-hadoop-migration-delivery-kit-tco-tool/ HT: @Quinnypig
