  For my birthday recently I received this vinyl album, which was re-recorded by the orginal artists for the show, presumably for licensing reasons. They’re very uncanny valley, songs you’ve heard a thousand times, just slightly different enough to make you start to question reality.

  Currently listening to Bad Religion’s No Substance, which is now 28 years old, on my Hifi that is at least that age. It may not have been as well received as their earlier work, but the themes railing against inequality sound like they’re talking about yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The sort of thing that gets me rather depressed if I reflect too long on that observation.

  Moving all my domains away from iwantmyname somehow felt weirder than me leaving NZ’s borders, but it was well past time. The costs were a factor, but the inability to email me an invoice was the clincher, as was the non-existent support and several week response times. Logging in to download a PDF might work for once a year customers but is not scaleable. End of an era.

  I finished soldering and assembling my first video synthesizer, the Chromatic Devices Rorschach. One day I might be able to afford something from the amazing Entropy And Sons, but today is not that day.
