At the end of every (read: most) days, I leave notes to myself telling me what to work on the next day. I always write as if I&#39;m speaking to someone else. That way, it reads like a suggestion from a very reliable person who knows what&#39;s up. This lil switch from first to second person is incredibly helpful and motivating.

When it comes to main notes, the primary unit of information should be, above all else, functional. It doesn&#39;t need to be a certain length, satisfying an arbitrary &quot;size,&quot; nor does it need to capture the “essence” of an “idea” reduced to its “barest essentials.” The primary unit of information need only be: 1. Articulated enough to be understood 2. Reinforced enough to be reliable 3. Limited enough in scope to be connectable and queryable https://writing.bobdoto.compu...
