When it comes to main notes, the primary unit of information should be, above all else, functional. It doesn't need to be a certain length, satisfying an arbitrary "size," nor does it need to capture the “essence” of an “idea” reduced to its “barest essentials.” The primary unit of information need only be:
1. Articulated enough to be understood
2. Reinforced enough to be reliable
3. Limited enough in scope to be connectable and queryable
