I have so much oregano. Planted some in my greenhouse two years ago, and it's been loving life. Unfortunately it's been loving life right where I'm putting a raised bed, so (most of it) it had come out. I weighed 224g of fresh leaves, after the stems were removed; that is a *lot* of an herb! Dried it in the oven, lightly crushed, and now I have oh so much. :D Anyone in Seattle want to trade some for other homemade or homegrown food? Last year I had a great time exchangi...

15 minutes ago, that cropped path down the center was all tall grass like on the right. Scythes are fun. :D Could a powered mower have done it faster? Yes. Cheaper? No. My scythe will last the rest of my life (and beyond), no batteries, fuel or replacement parts required. Just a whetstone every 10 minutes and a brief hammer session once a year. Then roll the barrow across the yard, over the lip into the greenhouse, and lever it up on the edge of the raised bed to dump in. 2 1...

Requesting recommendations - I'm in the mood for a nice tower defense game. Desktop, not mobile. I know nothing of the genre, haven't played much of it beyond the flash game roots 20 years ago. Anyone have a fun one to try? I lean more on the slow-paced / strategy side of things, rather than quick-twitchy/flashy, generally speaking. #gaming #indiegame
